yer, 50/50s would be kool. tad bit expensive though. although, i'm ultimately interested in getting my red pedals, coated in gold enamel and clear coat protected... triple trap pedals Smile

dannthevan wrote
Feb 25, 2009 at 10:52
yer, true. i've just ordered the 42t one, so i'm hoping it'll all be ok. otherwise, i'll just send it right back :p
looking to get some pedals now... thinking some oldschool shimano bmx (large flat pedal) type... in lovely gold!! Smile

dannthevan wrote
Feb 25, 2009 at 10:08
yer, did notice it. was refering to that pic to decide upon 40/42t. Smile

dannthevan wrote
Feb 25, 2009 at 9:48
kool... just remember i have one spare. I bought the kit for £21 with postage. so call it £16/17 posted? it's not even been fitted.. lol, ofcourse! would appreciate it, and it'd save you a £5'r.

just about to look into buying those cranks and 4042t chainring setup
but dunno what size... are you worried about the chainslack hitting the swing arm?? thats why i thought the extra 42t would be bit higher to decrease chainslap, and more drive.

dannthevan wrote
Feb 25, 2009 at 9:44
yer. im buggered thou, just spent £27 on a kit + axle, and its useless. damn

dannthevan wrote
Feb 25, 2009 at 9:43
nah, def 36h. just counted them. crc only have 32h 24". i made sure that mine were 36h Smile

dannthevan wrote
Feb 25, 2009 at 9:40

dannthevan wrote
Feb 25, 2009 at 9:39

dannthevan wrote
Feb 25, 2009 at 9:35
yer, it looks exactly like yours, but doesnt say pro2.. just hope, and some small numbers. i shall look up the numbers, be i'm gutted. need to convert it to 10mm.

dannthevan wrote
Feb 25, 2009 at 9:30
yer.. i thought it was a pro2.. but the previous owner said its a bulb!?
hmmm

dannthevan wrote
Feb 25, 2009 at 0:01
hey!

would you be interested in buying my hope pro2 rear hub conversion kit? I bought it to change my rear hub, but then found out it wasnt a pro2 rear hub, but a bulb. damn!

I paid £21 for it.. can post it to you for £13? Would be good for you to change that qr axle to 10mm solid through. Even if you don't use it straight away, you can still buy it from me and save money ready! Smile

let me know.
thanks
dan

dannthevan wrote

managed to size the bearing spacers, i've not got one, well, it was lost in the post apparently. they are m8 washers at 16mm diameter. but cannot get them that thick, so will have to buy several thinner washers to the right thickness... think it'll work? otherwise i'll have to contact 'cross cycles' who now deal with coyote parts... all for some thick washer!!

dannthevan wrote
Feb 19, 2009 at 6:11
do you know anywhere i can get the bearings spacers from for the dh3?
or new bearing kit?

dannthevan wrote
Feb 18, 2009 at 8:09
lol.. it supports upto 42 doesnt it, da bomb recoil. I' suppose for the value for money, it's worth it. especially since i've got a few 38t chainrings laying around.

dannthevan wrote
Feb 18, 2009 at 7:58
i was thinking 44--> 50+
I've previously had a 56 tooth, or something that high, and loved the ratio for DH and long flats... whats yours?

dannthevan wrote
Feb 18, 2009 at 7:54
yer, da bomb is only £48 too!! think i may just look into that for a future purchase... but trying to find something that will suit a bigger front ring..

dannthevan wrote
Feb 18, 2009 at 3:37
yer.. it's supposed to be 35mm, mines a good fit, 0.1 mm should do just fine Smile

any chain devices you'd recommend... nice da bomb one you got there; i've got an old truvativ one, but thinking i need new now Smile

dannthevan wrote
Feb 18, 2009 at 3:34
i can only see 34.9mm by hope...
what you recon?

dannthevan wrote
Feb 18, 2009 at 3:28
can you remember what size the seat post clamp is.. my old one says here it's 35mm, but i'm having trouble finding new 35mm clamps.

dannthevan wrote
Feb 16, 2009 at 7:54
can you get the contact details/website etc for that company you used to spray your frame?
would appreciate it... i've been quoted by a guy on pinkbike £60/70 for a respray, but for that price, i should be able to get it done properly.

I'm thinking matt in colour, with 2 clear coats? what did you have done?

dan

dannthevan wrote
Feb 16, 2009 at 4:16
seen the front hub, pro2 20mm in gold for £48 posted, new!? good price!? the rear though, £90!!?
+ build at £70 and i've got the rims of ebay cheap, £20 a pair, so, total build around £228!?
just tempted still by the the spindoctors, but an extra £60/70 for hope should be well worth it!?

dannthevan wrote
Feb 14, 2009 at 4:19
make me an offer. for the fork alone i've been offered £370 plus postage.
the brake, direct mount stem will be extra. but make me an offer, i may accept it.!? Wink

do you still have the original dnm shock from the coyote? my bushings have worn abit, had planned to buy a manitou shock for mine, but just wondering if you had your old one, and how much you want for it.

have you seen my photoshopped pictures of the coyote dh3? check out my 'project' folde if not...

can you supply details of 'betterblast' please.
